prison game
When prison is your world, how do you
function within society?
Developed using real life accounts of extraordinary experiences, this mainly biographical story deals with the effects of institutionalisation on the psyche of an individual and the people around them.
A one-man physical theatre performance packed with an intense narrative, Prison Game is the story of a young boy in primary school and the events that challenge him on his journey into adulthood. A biographical story; this work has been developed through real life accounts and extraordinary experiences and pays great attention to the psychological effect on a person who has been institutionalised. The play focuses on what happens when an individual exists deeply within the prison system and the subsequent reactions of those outside it. When prison is your world, how do you function within society? Prison Game is a gripping and at times chilling insight into the life of one of the first generation of ‘starred up’ criminals in the UK, and how prison can define a man.
